MORNING
DISCOVER SINGAPORE’S BIODIVERSITY
(EXPLORE/TOUR)
Discover a world filled with rich biodiversity while wandering through wetlands and mangrove forests at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. This ecological jewel includes many trails where visitors can spot its native inhabitants such as mudskippers, water snakes, birds and otters. Visitors who want more in-depth knowledge of Sungei Buloh and its wildlife can take a guided weekly tour by NParks. Visitors must register for the tour in advance on the NParks website (nparks.gov.sg) and can register one week before the tour. Each tour can accommodate a maximum of 20 participants.
AFTERNOON
LUNCH AT ALBERT FOOD CENTRE (DINE)
Visitors will find Albert Food Centre surrounded by religious sites such as the Sri Krishnan Temple and Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple. Touted as one of the best places for affordable and good food in the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct, visitors will find a spectrum of local delights housed at the Albert Food Centre. For breakfast, visitors can order a bowl of fishball noodles from Hock Lee Fish Ball Noodle (#01-102) or a traditional Singaporean comfort food, congee with you tiao (rice porridge with dough fritters) at Li Fang Congee (#01-78).
RIDE ON A TRISHAW (TOUR)
Visitors can choose to tour Kampong Glam, Chinatown or Little India with trishaw tour group, Trishaw Uncle. Relax on a 45-minute trishaw expedition that will give visitors an overview of Singapore’s various precincts and a glimpse of the architecture around these areas. After the tour, visitors can explore more of the precincts on their own.
EVENING
Enjoy the cool evening breeze and scenic views of the city on a two-hour guided Marina Bay Night Tour by Let’s Go Tour. Starting at 7pm, visitors will cycle to iconic landmarks around Marina Bay towards the Singapore Flyer and into the lush grounds of Gardens by the Bay. Visitors will also pass the iconic National Stadium before they head back to the starting point at High Street Centre.
DISCOVER THE CITY AT NIGHT (TOUR)
DINE AT THE HISTORIC CLIFFORD PIER (DINE)
Situated within the Fullerton Heritage precinct, The Clifford Pier restaurant at The Fullerton Bay Hotel occupies the space of what was once Singapore’s main landing point for maritime traders and immigrants. Today, the restaurant honours its historic location by serving the best of Singapore’s culinary delicacies represented by a melting pot of diverse cultures. Visitors will find local dishes such as Hainanese Chicken Rice and Bak Kut Teh (peppery pork soup). One of the restaurant’s signatures and a must-try for visitors is the soup kambing (traditional mutton soup infused with local spices).
